Scope and content
Refers to the vote in the House of Commons on January 28 declaring the throne vacant, followed by an account of debates in the House of Lords on January 29. Discusses conflicting opinions on the question of whether a regency, with the administration of regal power should be exercised by William of Orange, in James II's name and style, would be the best way to preserve the Protestant religion and laws of the Kingdom. Comments "The Bp of London was agst his brother upon [th]e question. Bristoll & Gloster went out of [th]e house & gave no votes."
