Frederick is shown engaged in different tasks, clockwise from bottom left: shoveling, driving a horse-drawn cart, building a stone structure on sand, weighing items on a scale, chopping wood, carrying a spear and a piece of paper which reads "die Cron ist hin." In each case his crown is lying on the ground beside him or otherwise nearby. A group of well-dressed men approach him at his scale, offering him small sacks. In foreground before the group of men are three small children eating out of a pot which balances on yet another crown on the ground.
