Scope and content
Asking to examine witnesses in a complicated case of debt involving John Santy or Santie, prisoner in her Majesty's Bench, owing money to Nicholas Browne and sons, who in turn owes money to Elizabeth Chapman, widow, now Santy's wife. "For the relese of the p[ri]soner, and to avoyd tedious travailes of the witnesses, wee haue thought fytt to referr the Examinac[i]on and Determynac[i]on of the said Cause vnto you."
