Scope and content
A return to the Exchequer of money collected in Norfolk under one of the forced loans which were raised to pay for the war against Spain and the defeat of the Spanish Armada. Includes 24 names on the list, each paying £25.

Caption: A certificat retorned into the Exchequor by Nathaniell Bacon Esquire Collector of the Quenes maj[es]t[ies] money growinge by waie of lone w[i]thin the Countie of Norff[olk] of his Receit[es] from the Second daie of maie 1589 vntill the vth Daie of the same w[i]h the names of the p[er]sons and theire Daies of payment as followeth."
