Includes A sweet conference between Mr. Dod and Mr. Throgmorton upon his deathbed; Nathaniel Bacon, Relation of the fearful estate of Francis Spira in the year 1548 (published in 1638, STC 1178); Examination of Bastwick, Burton and Prynne in the Star Chamber, June 1637, with account of their sufferings; Archbishop Laud's speech against the bishop of Lincoln, Star Chamber 1637; The downfall of Dagon, showing the unlawfulness ... of altars; the Duke of Lennox's speech to the Council regarding war with Scotland. Back of manuscript contains John Eaton's thoughts of scriptural texts, etc. Signed by him on the 5th leaf, dated July 9, 1643, and also on the first leaf at the front of the manuscript.
