Harper agrees that a volume of selections from the writings of Fitz James O'Brien, edited by William Winter, would have a fair chance of success. Addressed "My dear Colonel." On letterhead of Harper & Brothers, Franklin Square, New York. "Harper" is written on the first leaf in what appears to be William Winter's hand.
