Contains selections of the first 30 of Seneca's epistles translated into English by Robert Foxall, probably in 1624, Oxford (leaves 1-31). Also includes "An epitome of logicke to bee learned in a small tyme" (leaves 33-35), and 7 Psalms in translation, Psalms 6, 13, 15, 23, 30, 79 and 86 (leaves 37-44).

Historical background
Robert Foxall was the son of a wealthy Southampton grocer. He matriculated at Brasenose College, Oxford in 1626.
