Partial autograph letter, dated 25 May 1884. On letterhead of J.O. Halliwell-Phillipps, Hollingbury Copse, Brighton. Thanks recipient for the suggestion as to Rocque; refers to Newcourt's of 1659. Recipient is likely William Rendle.
Autograph letter signed from J.A. Froude, dated April 20. On letterhead of 5 Onslow Gardens, S.W. Concerning a copy of Cromwell's will he made from a draft shown to him by Mr. Brewer. Letter addressed Dear Sir; recipient is likely Rendle.
Autograph letter signed from H. Huth, dated 25 May 1877. On letterhead of 30, Prince's Gate, S.W. Letter addressed Dear Sir; recipient is likely Rendle. Huth writes that the "portrait of Queen Elizabeth in the Philobiblon volume is a very good and accurate copy of the one on the original broadside."
