This work, first published in 1584, has been erroneously attributed to Robert Parsons. According to Sir Thomas Walsingham, it was written by Thomas Morgan; see Leslie Hotson, in The listener, XLIII (March 16, 1950), 481-483. In his edition of Leicester's Commonwealth, 1985, D.C.
