Contains proverbial sayings relating to Scripture, arranged alphabetically. This volume contains letters H-P only. The source of sayings is Contemplations upon the principall passages of the holy storie (Joseph Hall, Works, 1625, STC 12635).

With a table of contents listing the first leaf of each letter.

Date based on Hall's work, published in 1625.
