Scope and content
Set of orchestral part books (1-8). Includes 25 numbered items, including curtain tunes, marches, and trumpet calls. The cue book (9) gives instructions for marches and flourishes in both Richard III and Hamlet.
Note
Dated annotations by musicians indicate that these parts were used in Charles Kean's productions in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Australia in the 1860s. Entry in Folger microfilm database indicates ca. 1854, but the source of this information is unclear.
