A contemporary drawing of Hatton's funeral procession. The drawing represents about 100 figures in the procession, some of them identified in a contemporary hand, representing the armorial costumes of the period.

Sir Christopher Hatton, Lord Chancellor of England, was buried on December 16, 1591 in St. Paul's Cathedral with great ceremony.
