Autograph poems signed by Fanny Kemble [manuscript], 1864?.

Two manuscript poems, "Expostulation" and "Sonnet," on recto and verso of a single leaf. Both signed Frances Anne Kemble. Endorsed in pencil "In the handwritting of Mrs. Kemble - 2 sonnets" and "Mrs Fair 1864." With typescript transcription of both poems.

First line of Expostulation: "What tho' the sun must set, & darkness come." First line of Sonnet: "Tho who sitt'st list'ning to the midnight wind."

If the date in the endorsement is correct, Kemble was in the United States when she wrote these poems.
