Scope and content
Herbal and other remedies, "chiefly for the poor which have not at all tymes the learned phisicions at hand." Arranged alphabetically under ailments, with a list at end of volume. At beginning some general rules about herbs.

Another manuscript of the same text, in an early 17th century hand, is in the library at Arundel Castle. A copy of MSX-3346, including notes and correspondence of Elizabeth Rawson Macgill, is held in the Folger curatorial files.
