Speeches for a squire, hermit, soldier, and secretary, written by Bacon for the Earl of Essex's entertainment of the Queen on the anniversary of her accession. Also, speeches in Parliament, etc. by Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1559, in a different hand from the first part of manuscript. These speeches are the first four and the 12th and 13th speeches contained in Folger MS V.a.143, a volume of Sir Nicholas Bacon's speeches.
