Scope and content
Copy of Holt's narrative account of "being laid hold of by [th]e Ashantees in Annamaboe town" (Anamabo, Gold Coast), from October 26 to November 3, engendered by a dispute over payment for six slaves. Also includes copies of statements to the Royall African Company of England dated March 31, 1717 and April 14, 1718. In the back there is an "Invoyce of Goods Detained from me unjustly by the Honorable William Johnson Esq."
