Scope and content
Volume contains medical prescriptions in addition to several water colors and notes on diverse subjects. Water colors depict: "Shakespear's house at Stratford upon Avon" (leaf 5); 2 illustrations of the "Boar's head in East-Cheap where the Prince of Wales (afterward Henry 5th) and Falstaff used to have convivial meetings..." (leaf 7 and leaf 11); "King Charles 1st's porter and Dwarf" (leaf 10); and 3 other designs. Several pages regarding warrants and related legal matters (leaves 42v-46v). Date on last page of text: Aug. 6 1800.
