(1), an undated autograph letter signed from Walter Scott to Mrs. Murray Keith, refers to Shakespeare's Henry V: "Charlotte sends her kind respects and best thanks for good Master Duck who will show like King Henry's English yeomen the mettle of his pasture." (2), an autograph letter initialed from Keith to Mrs. Smyth, refers to farmyard matters. This second letter is dated Sunday, 30th, with the date August 1, 1813 above the address. Address reads "Mrs. Smyth, Gibbleston, Colinsbrugh." A clipped dealer description of both letters is pasted on leaf 2 of (1).
