In several hands. The original table of contents arranges the recipes under several heads: Receipts of Cookery, Wines and distilled waters, etc, Pickles, Confectionery, Physick and surgery. At the end are a few menus. At the beginning is a receipt to make a Jacobin. The author's initials appear on the spine.
