Cookery and medical recipes; one is a royal favorite: "To make another Bisket, whereof King James, and his Queene have eaten with much liking" (p. 20). A few recipes were added in the eighteenth century. Three lists of contents for the earlier part of the book--for preserves and conserves, cookery, and medicine--follow p. 48. Also another collection of recipes tipped in. Sketch of head on p. 83.
