At the beginning is a note on the births and deaths of Matthew Colburne of Hayes, Middlesex, and his family; also at beginning and end are a few notes on the Bible.

Historical background
Philip Taverner was ejected in 1660 from his living in Hillingdon, Middlesex for non-conformity. In 1672 he was licensed to preach at his house in Isleworth, Middlesex.
Provenance
A note states that this manuscript came from the bookseller Francis Tufton of the Three Daffers (Gladiorum), in Fleet St., London. A Francis Tyton flourished at this address, 1649-1667, (see Plomer's Dictionary of Booksellers ..., 1641-1667)
