Recipients: Honorary secretary of the Bristol and Gloucestershire Archaeological Society (i.e. F. W. Potto Hicks) and Roland Austin. Both letters concern Purvis' research on ecclesiastical courts and his request of a copy of an article on the Gloucester Consistory Court to serve as a point of comparison with the York Consistory Court.
