Accounts for Shelford, Nottinghamshire, consisting of an assortment of payments to servants and tradesmen, sums to the church, and charitable donations.

Note on leaf 1: March 1585. Wyll[ia]m Fost[e]r. The booke of accompts as well for all extrardenary charge[s] of dysburssyngs as also for all receate[s] recevyd and dysburssyd by me to th[e] use of dame Anne Stanhope for one whole yeare folowyng begynnyng at the feast of th[e] ann[un]cia[tion] last past.

Note in the hand of J.O. Halliwell-Phillipps: "I bought this of Waller who told me that it referred to co. Suffolk" followed by pencil "No! It refers to Nottingham Co."

19th century, half calf gilt over marbled boards.
