Contents include Modus tenendi parliamentum, and Orders set down by the duke of Medina Sidonia for the invasion of England, May 28, 1588 (W.b.582); commentaries on some of the 39 Articles based on Gilbert Burnet's Exposition of the Thirty nine articles (W.b.588); a song, Carmen Lantoniense (W.b.582); and above all excerpts from records of the city, abbey and diocese of Gloucester and of other places, especially religious houses, in Gloucestershire, and also from records of the diocese of Winchester; brief abstracts of Gloucestershire wills; and lists of manuscripts in Oriel College and Gloucester cathedral.
