Scope and content
(1-7) are letters primarily concern the Shakespeare-Bacon authorship question. Also, some discussion of the Ireland forgeries. Also includes: (8) "A list of the various signatures of Sir Francis Bacon and Viscount Saint Albans, as found in Mrs. Gallup's work of 1900." (9) "A memorandum of some of the verses of the so-called Spenser poems in which the name Francis Bacon is infolded according to the Medfurl cipher." (10) an untitled, anonymous essay refuting the claims of anti-Shakespeareans in general and Baconians in particular. Refers specifically to Dr. Platt at several points. The typescript essay includes manuscript additions in an unidentified hand.
