Scope and content
Walker writes that Winter's letter made him very happy, but he was "deeply disappointed in not being able to contribute all that I had hoped to lay before you." The bookings of his theatre kept him away from rehearsals as well as Mr. Hagedorn's Masque. On letterhead from the Portmanteau Theatre, 200 West 57 Street, New York City. With accompanying envelope addressed to Winter at 46 Third Avenue, New Brighton, Staten Island, New York.
