Collection of catches, glees and rounds by British composers including: John Hilton, Thomas Ford, Edmund Nelham, Thomas Brewer, William Lawes, Thomas Ravenscroft, William Webb and Mr. White. Each work consists of a single vocal line that was used by all voices, though entering successively. Of the pieces that do not specify their total number of parts, those that have concordances require three or four voices. Includes earliest source for the four-voice round that closes As you like it (leaf 17).
