Letter seemingly written in two segments, one on business and another of a more personal nature. Both leaves are dated June 27, 1822, addressed "Dear Sir" and signed Geo. Smith. Leaf 1, written from Theatre Royal Birmingham, concerns Elliston's offer to engage his two daughters. Leaf 2, marked "to J. Winston (not on business)," concerns Mr. Kean's Birmingham appearances in the roles of Richard, Shylock, Sir Giles, Brutus, Othello, and King Lear.
