Scope and content
Warfield writes that he has read Winter's article in the Saturday Evening Post and would like to give him the "true version of a garbled interview that has spread and placed me in an absolutely false position." He goes on to explain a misunderstanding with an interviewer regarding a play he was acting in, The music master. With accompanying envelope addressed to Winter in care of the The New York Tribune.
