A collection of hundreds of poems, many by celebrated contemporary poets, including Wordsworth, Cowper, Burns, and others, with a few pieces of prose. Some of the poetical pieces may be compositions of the compiler. A fly-leaf contains the inscription "Mary Gay/ Rainthorpe Hall/ Norfolk/ AD 1801" and the last leaf of text the inscription "Finis -- M Gay -- July 22d 1809."
