Title
Accounts [manuscript], 1554 September-1555 January.
Description
1 leaf.
Scope and content
The writer had liveried servants and incurred some of the expenses at Cropredy, [Oxfordshire]. He names three books that he bought: The treasure of poore men (5 pence), an almanac [price has been cropped], and another [indecipherable] for 6 pence.
Note
Leaf at end of Christs combate and conquest (STC 23822a); partially cropped.
It is unclear why the accounts predate the date of the book in which they are bound. Perhaps they were part of the original vellum binding, which has since been replaced.
This is a PRELIMINARY RECORD. It contains unverified data from catalog cards and may contain incorrect or incomplete information. Please email catalog@folger.edu for assistance.
