Original research notes and several unpublished MSS. Contents: S.d.1-48 includes 48 boxes of typed cards, arranged by author and play and type of image. Partly used for Shakespeare's Imagery, 1935. S.d.49 includes 2 printed copies of A classified list of Shakespeare's images, with autograph additions by the author. S.d.50 includes notes in her autograph, "Shakespeare's classical images listed." S.d.51 is "A Shakespearean picture book," an unfinished MS. intended as a sequel to the 1935 work. A study of the pictures Shakespeare may have seen and their influence on his imagery. Typescript. S.d.52 is "Touching for gold: imagery as test of authorship," an unfinished MS. intended as v.3 on Shakespeare's imagery. Typescript and in the author's autograph. The imagery in Henry VI, Titus, Pericles and Henry VIII and 3 Noble Kinsmen examined. With reprints of 2 articles. Y.d.34 (cataloged separately) includes her notes on "The chess portrait" of Shakespeare and Ben Jonson.
