Curione's Del modo di scrivere le cancellaresche corsive (1590) is described as "libro primo," and his Il cancelliere (1582, 1605, 1619) is described as "libro quarto"; see Bonacini.
Engraved, illustrated title page; an earlier issue has arms of Cardinal Scipione Gonzaga at head, and six leaves of letterpress preliminaries; this issue is without the preliminaries, the plate has been scraped, removing the Gonzaga arms, and a hammer reengraved within the cartouche; this issue may possibly be dated after Gonzaga's death in 1593.
