Summary
Two oval portraits on a single plate, possibly Lady Arundel on left and her daughter-in-law, Lady Mowbray and Maltravers, on right. On left, bust of a woman, half right, with long fair curls hanging down, a fringe, and a bow in her hair. She has a pearl necklace with a pendant jewel, and wears a very low bodice, with a rope of pearls round her shoulders. On right, a bust, half left, in oval of a younger woman with long, dark curly hair. She has a pearl necklace, pearl earrings, and a very low-cut, square-necked bodice with lace edging.
