Box contains twelve three-piece cards depicting various characters; all listed on back of box's lid. Each card may be lifted up, a piece at a time, to reveal numerous combinations of faces. All cards are printed in colour.
The box's exterior depicts a Harlequin figure on the right; a clown balancing a bottle on his head in the center, his body obscured by a banner which reads, "Harlequin Among the Actors or Changeable Heads or Living Theatrical Characters"; a female and a male figure on the left. The interior lid lists the "Key to the Chararacters" and is marked, "Published by R. Miller, 24 Old Fish Street Hill, Doctors Commons."
