Returned from Croydon last night. Discussing the start and end date of a play or acting contract. Would like to commence on Saturday the 14th for 5 nights. Kind regards to Smith. With an 1822 engraved portrait of "Mr. Emery as Tyke in the School of Reform" [engraved by J. Rogers from a drawing by Wageman, London: pub. T. & I. Elvey, 30 Castle St. Holborn, September 1822].
