Lines 91-102 of Shakespeare's Venus and Adonis preceded by two non-Shakespearian couplets starting: wherfore did venus love adonis. Lines 91-92: never did passenger in sumers heat, more thirst for drinke then shee for this good turne. The 12 lines of text have been condensed to 6 lines, with a horizontal rule marking off the separate stanzas.
On verso: Draft obligation (incomplete) of payment from George Sloman of Hawkhurst, Kent, clothier, to Katherine Watts of Ticehurst, Sussex. Undated, but probably from the time of Charles I, King of England. In Latin and English.
