David Garrick's letter has a wax seal. In it, he urges Fitzmaurice to stop over for the night, and mentions the recent visit of a clergyman to whom DG gave the living of Hendon, and who is Master of Merchant Taylors' School (James Townley). Mrs. Garrick's note (2), thanks an unnamed person for a present.
