Produced at Garrick's suggestion for sale at the great Stratford jubilee of 1769; and the first Warwickshire edition (Jaggard, p. 502). In fact the dramatic works only, printed in Baskerville type. General title page undated; publication date from volume title pages. Vol. 1 with a general title page. All volumes with dated volume title pages reading "The works of Shakespear : from Mr. Pope's edition"; v.1 vol. title page with "Wolverhamton" misspelled in imprint. All plays with divisional half-titles. Each volume has the portrait frontispiece of Shakespeare "specially engraved for this edition" (Jaggard, p. 502).
