Canon law of the ecclesiastical province of Canterbury as collected and abridged in 1433 by William Lyndwood, with his explanatory gloss. Regarded by some authorities as law of the Church of England. Colophon to the first part, [et]9v, reads "Explicit preclarum opus wilhelmi Lyndewode eruditissimi viri, super constitutiones prouinciales Anglie: summa cura atq[ue] diligentia wolffgangi Hopylij reuisum, eme[n]datu[m], atq[ue] in inclita Parisioru[m] Academia. impressum: vna cum annotationibus debitis: cu[m]q[ue] summarijs suis locis prepositis. "Constitutiones legitime seu legatine regionis Anglicane: cu[m] subtilissima interpretatione d[omi]ni Iohannis de Athon ..", the canons of the plenary councils of the British Isles held in 1237 and 1268, has separate divisional title, foliation, and register. It is edited by Josse Badius, whose name appears on [cross]1v. The text proper has separate title page: Legatine seu constitutiones legitime ... Includes indexes.
