Vol. 1: "The historie of Englande" (caption title) begins new register and pagination. "The historie of Scotlande" has separate title page, pagination, and register. On A1r of the latter register this title is repeated in a caption title and pagination recommences. "The historie of Irelande ... vnto the yeare 1509. Collected by Raphaell Holinshed, and continued till the yeare 1547. by Richarde Stanyhurst" has separate title page, foliation, and register. "The historie of Irelande" (caption title) has separate pagination and register. Leaf 126 misnumbered 124. Leaves E6-8 of the last series are intended to be cancelled. 2E3 of second series is a cancel (recto catchword "and"). 2F4r of second series has slip cancel in column 1. F7 of the last series is a cancel (recto catchword "vpon"; cancellandum "impouerish"). F7 cancel has two states; recto begins (1) "the Belweathers" or (2) "the chiefe meanes". With a final errata leaf covering the Scotland and Ireland sections.
Vol. 2 has title "The laste volume of the Chronicles of England, Scotlande, and Irelande". A leaf foliated 1593 is inserted after p. 1592. ⁵L7 is a cancel (headline reads "Richarde the first."; cancellandum has "Richarde the seconde."). ⁵4O3 is a cancel (headline has "Queene Marie."; cancellandum has "Queene Mary."). ⁵4X1 is a cancel (recto catchword is "buried"; cancellandum has "the").
