Provenance: manuscript notes of Richard Derham (one dated 1627, another 1629), including several lines listed in the Union first line index of English verse. Two MS versions of the last line, in a mixed hand. Here 'Who euer heard a story of more woe / Then that of Juliet and her Romeo' and 'ffor neuer was there story of more woe / Then that of Juliet and her Romeo', among other quotations inscribed in the italic hand of Richard Derham on the last page (verso of p. 45) of his printed exemplum of Nathaniel Shute, Corono Charitatis (London, 1626). 1627-9. Inscribed 'Joh: Squire' and 'W. W. Radford 1871'. Later in the library of Sir Robert Leicester Harmsworth, first Baronet, MP (1870-1937).
