Title
Loues schoole. : Publii Ouidii Nasonis De arte amandi. Or The art of loue.
Created/published
Gedruckt tot Amsterdam : By Nicolas Iansz Visscher, [ca. 1625]
Description
1 sheet ([1]) p. ; 1/(8vo)
Associated name
Visscher, Claes Jansz., 1586 or 1587-1652, author.
Ovid, 43 B.C.-17 A.D. or 18 A.D. Ars amatoria.
Note
An engraved title page, found with English translations of Ovid's "Ars amatoria" (STC 18935-35a) but not definitely assignable to any one of them.

Publication date conjectured by STC.

There are two different cuttings from the same design in this entry: (1) title as above, apparently the earlier; (2) apparently an inferior imitation; lacks the periods after "amandi" and "loue".

Identified as part of STC 18936a on UMI microfilm reel 598.
