The plates, by William Rogers, based on those in STC 3850 attributed to Jodocus Hondius the Elder, are: "The greatnes of Nabuchadnezars empire"; "The empire of Rome, that crucified our Lorde"; "In the image and fower beastes"; "An abridgement of Iudahs stories"; "A mapp of the north part of the equinoctial", folded; and "A map of the earth with names (the most) from Scriptures", folded. The latter is printed from the same plate as that in STC 3850, additionally worked by Rogers.
There are two settings of the dedication: (1) initial is 8 lines, historiated; (2) initial is 9 lines, armorial.
"An abridgment of Iudahs stories" has two states: (earlier) the man's ear has a ring or curl in front; (later) the man's ear is simply shaded.
