Admission ticket for the Church of the Holy Trinity in Stratford-on-Avon containing a brief description of the church's history, including its association with William Shakespeare and his family.

"The charge for Admission to the Church is 6d. each. There is no other fee, and a copy of this short description is given to each Visitor."

The parish, under vicar John Day Collis, began charging admission of 6d in 1887, a controversial policy which continued until 1961. (See Thomas, "Shakespeare and commercialism," in Shakespeare in the nineteenth century, 2012.)
