In response to: Certain propositions of both Houses of Parliament, concerning the raising of horse, horsemen, and arms, for the defence of the King, and both Houses of Parliament (Wing E1273).

Includes four items: (1) "A proclamation forbidding all levies of forces without His Majesties expresse pleasure, signified under His Great Seale, and all contributions or assistance to such levies" (pp. 1-12); (2) "His Majesties declaration to all his loving subjects, occasioned by a false and scandalous imputation laid upon His Majestie, of an intention of raising, or leavying war against his Parliament; and of having raised force to that end" (pp. 13-26).

Item (3): "His Majesties declaration and profession, disavowing any preparations or intentions in him to levie warre against his Houses of Parliament" (pp. 27-28); (4) "The declaration and profession of the Lords, now at York, and others of His Majesties most Honourable Privie Councell, disavowing that they see any apparence [sic] of preparations or intentions in His Majestie, to leavie warre against the Parliament (pp. 29-30). The text of item 3 was also published separately as "The Kings Majesties declaration and profession, disavowing any preparations or intentions in him, to levy warre against his two Houses of Parliament".
