The British Book Trade Index lists 2 "Sir James Hodges" (possibly the same person), the earliest of which has trade dates 1718-1774. The earliest dated item on ESTC with "James Hodges, at the Looking-Glass on London Bridge" in imprint is dated 1724. According to BBTI John Gwillim was active up to 1719.
