Contains the plays only. A seventh volume of the Poems printed by J. Darby for A. Bettesworth, etc., was issued in 1725 to accompany the plays.
With a general title page in red and black dated 1725; volume title pages read: The works of Mr. William Shakespear and are dated 1723. Each play with a divisional title page.
Engraved portrait frontispiece, dated 1721, and Stratford bust lettered: G. Vertue sculp.
With Pope's preface, Some account of the life, &c. of Mr. William Shakespeare by Rowe, Ben Johnson's poem, and a list of subscribers in v. 1; with an index and table in v. 6.
