Layout: Written in 27 long lines (dimensions of written space: 145 x 85 mm)̤; above line; ruled in lead: pricks for vertical lines, horizontal lines traced in ink; marginal notes in green and purple ink throughout.
Script: Italian Humanistic Cursive script, late 15th century.
Decoration: Title page has a marble edifice, with the inscription: Laurentii Vallae viri clarissimi latinae linguae elegantiarum compendium (leaf 2r).
Decoration: Coat of arms of the Schioppo family of Verona, with two putti (leaf 3r).
Decoration: Blue, red, green and gold major initials on leaves 3r and 30r.
Decoration: Alternating blue and red initials throughout 2nd work.
