Scope and content
The letters were written while Trumbull was secretary of state for the northern department and secretary to the 7 lords justices in the King's absence and include copies of several of the Hudson's Bay Company, of which Trumbull was governor. Recipients: Admiral Russell, the Lords of the Admiralty, the Earl of Romney, the Earl of Portland, the Lords Justices, Vice Admiral John Nevell, the Lords Justices of Ireland, Rear Admiral Meese, Admiral Rooke and others.
